Admin, I use TGIN (Thank God I'm Natural) - www.thankgodimnatural.com/I use the following products: The Deep Conditioning Hair Mask The Sulfate Free Shampoo and the Daily Moisturizing Cream (<-- Which is like...my staple product) They should be sold in Target nationwide These products definitely provide the right amount of moisture for your hair. I use to be somewhat of a product junkie but since discovering this line, I am pretty committed to it

I can't wait until someone starts selling dyed natural hair clip in :arrogrant: All they have are the straight ones. I just want one nice, white streak, but not permanent. el broko Minimal Thanks for the refresher. I'll look into. I'm going to log off in a second or I will pass out.

I'm really thinking of dying my hair but I'm so scared of damage. I don't want to go through that :bow-down:

For more extravagant colors I use creamy eyeshadow (blue, purple). It washes out the first time...but I think you can also use that Halloween hair color in a spray can too.

I've been natural 4 years it'll be 5 in August, I mainly use braids as protective styles. I use shea butter mixed with some Olive oil growing oil. Honestly i get frustrated because my hair isn't where i feel it should be length wise.

I'm really thinking of dying my hair but I'm so scared of damage. I don't want to go through that :bow-down: Me too. I don't want to have to chop all my hair off to start over. I'm not ready for that kind of commitment just yet. For more extravagant colors I use creamy eyeshadow (blue, purple). It washes out the first time...but I think you can also use that Halloween hair color in a spray can too. Don't you have to hold the eyeshadow palette a certain way and swipe it across your hair? I think I have seen this before. I've been natural 4 years it'll be 5 in August, I mainly use braids as protective styles. I use shea butter mixed with some Olive oil growing oil. It has only been a year, but I feel like it should be longer.

I did straighten my hair and I'm bra strap length after 3 years. So I'm not sure if that's average but in its natural state it doesn't look like I have been natural for that long. Probably because my hair isn't very thick. Are you having trouble retaining length?

Are you having trouble retaining length? Yesssss. Oh my god. When I wash my hair I have a lot of it come out when I comb the conditioner through. That's been happening to me since I was very little so I'm not sure if it's normal for me, but I really do not like it. I'm certain that plays a role in how long my hair is.

Minimal AdminHave you guys tried low maintenance and low manipulation styles? I do twist outs and band my hair (it's my version of a wash and go) and I do the LOC method. My hair retained length like crazy within a few months...it was noticeable and shocking to some people. My hair retained about 3 inches within a few months. Went from between shoulder/armpit length to just slightly above my bra strap...my mom was like "wtf?!" I also give my hair breaks by doing weaves and braids.

Can you post some YouTube videos of your favorite methods (if you want to/can)? I've never heard of "banding" your hair before!

Can you post some YouTube videos of your favorite methods (if you want to/can)? I've never heard of "banding" your hair before! Banding starts at around 13:40 I use a leave in conditioner, coconut oil, and a cream (to hold the curls and seal in moisture) all while my hair is wet. Very rarely do I use a comb, I finger detangle. I don't use Camile Rose products never have because they are too pricey for me...I use Shea moisturizer and kinky curly products. Banding stretches your curls so you don't have as much shrinkage. If you band while your hair is wet it may not be fully dry come morning. Try to dry your hair (air or blow dry it a good amount say 75% then band) or you can band while your hair is wet then sit under a bonnet.

blackonblack That looks really easy! Thank you for sharing! I think I might get into detangling my hair using my fingers too, because the amount of shedding when I use a comb freaks me all the way out. By the way: Her hair type is about a 3c/4a huh?

I'm horrible with hair types. I think that might be her hair type, I'm not sure. It's very easy and I band my hair every night for the week that I wear it out instead of doing a pineapple.

Went from between shoulder/armpit length to just slightly above my bra strap...my mom was like "wtf?!" I also give my hair breaks by doing weaves and braids. I do twist my hair 50% of the time. Usually right after washing, or if I am re-moisturizing my hair. Twists will remain in my hair for 2-3 days and then I unravel them. My hair does not hold twist-outs too well. My natural curl pattern is visible, but more defined (I have naturally frizzy hair). I'll wear my hair out in this modified wash n go for 3-4 days, and by that time my hair is already dry and the definition is lost. So I either wash it or re-moisturize it. I am too hesitant about trying a weave, because I would not know how to moisturize my hair underneath the false hair. And I also wanted to try box braids, but I am afraid they'll either be installed too tightly or they'll be too heavy for my hair and cause it to break

The woman in the video above looks to have a 3b/3c hair type. Similar to MahoganyCurls on youtube
