When it comes to misbehaving kids with attitude, do you think it's just part of the angst period or is there always a serious, underlying issue or mental illness?

If a teenage is like that 24/7, it's most definitely an underlying issue or possible mental illness.
But if a small child is misbehaving occasionally, I find that to be normal. It's key to correct them tho so they can eventually mature. Now if the misbehaving continues into the teenage years and so on, imo it's an issue.
