Yes she was. I don't like Adele though, I don't have any of her albums, so maybe she deserved it.
I find it interesting that the Recording Academy has a sort of electorate, in the even that an album/artist wins the popular vote they can override that. I wonder if who won the popular votes for the most coveted awards this year.

Adele's 2nd album was great...but the last one was b o r i n g & overhyped.
Although the Lemonade album as a whole isn't my cup of tea, it bothered me when Adele broke that award in half. That mess came off as fake and disingenuous. Congrats to Beyonce for even achieving the nomination.

Right? I feel like all of Adele's albums are the same. I listened to 25 and felt like I was replaying the old albums all over again. I thought Lemonade was a bit overhyped as well but it definitely deserved to win over 25 and was more cohesive than both Anti and 25. Tea was spilled by someone who was at the Grammys that Bey was actually really pissed that she didn't win. That crying seemed a little...fake to me. Idk. Same with Adele's whole speech.
