She seems like a real sweetheart. But I've never heard her music or anything. Well I was lurking another website and they posted a snippet of Teyana's hip hop honors Lil Kim tribute, and I HAD to see more! Let me tell you....I watched her performance at least 7 times back to back! And I hate to say this, but I watched the real Kim come up on stage and...Teyana did a better job capturing the old Kim than Kim did. Girlfriend could barely breathe, was forgetting/messing up lyrics. It was a mess. Anyway Teyana was fuckin' amazing. To make a smedium story medium, I looked up a few of Teyana's stuff and nothing really grabbed me. I really wish she could bite off the 90s rap flow because then she would be fucking untouchable, but old hip hop head would complain I think :/ Tey has the IT-factor, no doubt about it - her tribute to Kim shows it 100% - but outside of that tribute..IDK..I don't like most of the music out now so that may be it. Do you listen to Teyana? Are you a fan? Her music...not so much. And the thing is, she is a DAMN good dancer and she's a pretty good singer too. It's all about management, her PR team, and her catalog. That's always the issue. In this day and age, it's not even about the talent but the music. If she had a better catalog, she'd be there. Especially with her fame from the Fade video. She should open up a dance studio as well. I agree with you, she should capitalize on that 90s rap sound. She can still make it her own. At least with her, it wont sound forced. Fuck what anyone else thinks. She can be a damn good MC. She should also think about making some guest appearances on shows. She used to have a cute tomboy style too.

She's beautiful and I wish her great success, but nothing has grabbed me yet about her. I'm quietly waiting for her next move though. I think she could make a great actress (but I don't want to see her in another Tyler Perry esque movie or playing someone's baby momma again) SN - IMO she has great stage presence. Love the avi Admin

If she can actually act too she might as well call herself a Jack-of-all-trades because apparently she can dance, sing, rap, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if she's a good actress - she was really channeling Kim on some next level shit IMO. Nothing has really grabbed me either. Isn't she still on Kanye's label, GOOD? majesty If she is, she needs to get the hell out of dodge and create a real team if stardom, longevity, and legacy is something she wants. She has great potential for that. Thanks!

I'm a fan. Didn't like her dance with usher though, it was too extra. After seeing Beyonces the first time, teyana didn't live up to it.

I'll be in later today to comment and post more but I agree wholeheartedly that she should look into shows. Maybe talk shows, etc. This Fade attention could be her big break if her and her people play the cards all the way right.
