FULTON COUNTY - Scary moments for an Uber driver late Tuesday night after he says he picked up a passenger in Fayetteville, dropped her off in College Park and was shot at. Fulton County Police received the call around 10:45 p.m.
The driver said the passenger initially told him she needed to make two trips; one to Walmart and another to her grandmother's house. However, they reportedly ended up at a house she said was her boyfriend's in the 6000 block of Kimberly Mill Road. Once the passenger went in, the driver said she found her boyfriend inside the home with another woman. He heard arguing and then said the passenger ran out the house with a man running after.
The driver said the passenger ordered him to drive and as he took off, the man allegedly fired several shots at the car. While no one was hit, the car's back window was shot out.
Fulton County police arrived on scene but the alleged boyfriend and the woman inside refused to come out of the home. A SWAT team was called and a brief standoff ensued. Officers were finally able to get the couple out of the house after firing two stun grenades.
No word on possible charges.
