Katie Holmes has been wearing a diamond ring on her engagement finger for months.
The ex-wife of Tom Cruise did so as recently as Tuesday during a coffee run in Los Angeles.

This comes just before InTouch Weekly reported the 37-year-old Dawson's Creek vet was hoping to wed her alleged boyfriend of two years, Jamie Foxx, 48, in the near future after two years of dating in secret.

OK! magazine added on Thursday: 'They’re ready to debut not just as a couple, but as a newly engaged couple.'

InTouch claimed the actors have had marriage on their mind for a while.

'They've discussed eloping or having a small, quiet wedding in an out-of-the-way place,' a friend said.

'They're happy.'

But the Batman Begins beauty is worried how her ex Cruise - with whom she has daughter Suri, aged nine - may react.

'She's terrified,' said a source.

'She's afraid that he'll be angry that Suri will have a new father figure and come crashing back into her and Suri's lives.'

And worry about Cruise's reaction has also caused the two to not go public. Foxx, who worked with Tom on the 2004 film Collateral, has even denied to TMZ that they are dating.

But in December Holmes was reportedly a guest at his surprise birthday party in New York City at La Bilboquet restaurant.

Also there was Jennifer Hudson and Alicia Keys.

And soon after she was seen at The Honor Bar in Beverly Hills with his daughter Annalise Bishop, aged six.

UsWeekly reported in September that Katie wore a disguise to meet up with him at a hotel. 'She put on a wig and hat,' a source said.

The insider added that the two have 'gotten closer' in the past few months. 'Katie is in love with him and Suri gets along great with him too,' it was added.

It was also noted that they see each other 'two to three times a week' when both in California.

He lives in Rancho Conejo while she is in Thousand Oaks, about a 30 minute drive away.
Cruise and Holmes were married from 2006 until 2012.
