So...what happened to personal space? I was in line at a restaurant and told a man to go ahead of me since I was looking for something. He politely told me it was fine and to go ahead which I thought was sweet...at first. The entire time we're in line, I notice him getting a little too damn close. I just kept on walking ahead, I didn't even bother to check him on it because I was in pain and in a hurry. We get to the front of the line and I'm paying. The minute the cashier hands back my card, this motherfucker decides to encroach all up in my personal space. Got extremely close to the point we were touching and was leaning his body into me. He started pushing my food aside and placed his stuff on the counter and began ordering/paying as if I wasn't even there. Bitch! It was like he used the opportunity to try and embarrass me as well as feel me up. I swear when I'm tired my mouth closes up. I don't know why I only shot him a look and shoved him. I should've gone off on his ass. Instead I just stormed away. What the hell is wrong with people? What is it with men especially getting into a woman's space? Even the little things such as giving hugs. I'm not going to lie, I don't particularly like hugs so if I didn't verbally say you can, don't. Another thing I don't like that I've noticed younger men do is being so damn rough under the guise of being "touchy feely". Um no. I'm not one of your boys and we ain't that tight. There's no need to be pushing me around like a rag doll or shoving me or punching me. I have an old guy friend who used to do that. We weren't even that close. He was more of a friend of a friend but every time we were around, the way he would say hi was by shoving me hard. It made me feel like I was being physically abused but I should've just sucked it up because this was what friends did. I grew up around boys, I know how to play rough. I've wrestled around with them, shit. But the things that he would do were simply aggravating and unnecessary. And this guy is BIG. Stocky kind of big. You have to know the kind of strength you have. He didn't even do it around our other female friends. My friends suggested maybe he liked me. Have we suddenly regressed from grown adults to middle schoolers? How does it make it okay?

Usually a give a snarky reply, a warning and a look but I just didn't. I get anxiety too. That shit isn't cool! People have no respect for personal space nowadays. Shit like that is gonna get you clocked.

Was the man who pushed your food white? No he was black. I only asked because there was a similar post on LSA, but it was about white people as a whole feeling entitled. Then one person said it's not a race thing, but a class thing.

Honestly, I notice this kind of behavior from men of all races. They always get too close and then want to act nonchalant when you call them out on it. Standing in a line doesn't mean you have to push up on me.

Standing in a line doesn't mean you have to push up on me. I haven't noticed it in lines, but I have noticed it in terms of man-spreading when I used to ride the bus/train. Legs spread wide af. I have noticed with white people this sense of entitlement. Example, if I'm in line behind you and the server approaches me first even though you were waiting I'll say "she was here first". It seems with some white people this courtesy is only extended to other white people. I should really observe this, more often. I've had this happen, and when I call them out they'll say "I didn't see you". But you had to see me when you walked past me to approach the counter. It's really about being hyper aware of our presence and also hypo aware. Either they notice us to the point that they follow us, or suddenly they don't know we exist. Depends on what is more beneficial for them at the time...same with some Asians when you're in their stores. www.lipstickalley.com/showthread.php/1108425-Maybe-I-am-being-PETTY-but-I-can-t-stand-when-YT-people-do-this-to-me?p=28792721

Hmm, I've noticed it sometimes. They certainly aren't courteous. I'm trying to practice mindfulness in all things.

I remember that thread. Some of the things those ladies had to go through were weird as hell. People clearly don't know what the heck boundaries are.

Family members really start to show their ass when someone is about to pass away.
Can the extra shit like the gossip, dramatics, and lying be calmed down & stopped for a minute??? My goodness, talk about the worst Thanksgiving week ever. This mess is making me not even want to return back here for Christmas. If I do return again, I'm only seeing my immediate family (my parents, siblings, nieces, nephews & my grandparents)
As for the rest....My aunts, uncles, & cousins with the exception of a few...can all kiss my ass.
