I hate that song that's why I didn't bother to watch but that's smart of Bey to go on there. I wish they would've let her sing it by herself though. From the little snippets I saw, it seemed that a lot of those country folk in the audience were salty as hell. Bey stay keeping everybody mad.

MelaninMonroe the Wypipo in the audience were mad, alright. So mad that the CMAs website basically erased all mention of Beyonce's presence or performance that night. I was not a big fan of the Dixie Chicks up there with her because a few of the ladies were very off-key. It would have been better with Bey by herself for real.

They said that Bey asked that they remove it. Who knows if that's true though. Yes! When I listened briefly to their performance, that was the first thing I noticed. I hated whenever Bey would let them sing. Like girl if you don't just snatch their mics and sing it yourself. There was no chemistry between Bey and TDC as well. Seemed very awkward. |

I noticed a lot of people said people in the audience looked angry, but those in attendance could have just as easily been angered by TDC being there. They have been shunned by all of country music after publicly speaking out against Bush. Remember TDC said they would never perform at the CMAs again, idk the exact reason but I would assume it had to do with their political opinions.
As for country music fans online and their faux outrage, Daddy Lessons sells increased so how mad were they really?
I like the song, but agree she should have done it solo. I wonder if it was her decision to pick a country group/artist, or was that the condition of the CMAs agreeing to let her perform.
