Wonderful documentary.
I wish my lifestyle was quiet and organized like this. I especially love the nature appreciation they have going in their everyday life. Western society isn't set up like that and it irritates me because I know I am not meant for this kind of living. Don't know what to do about it though -- I'm Black in America and far from rich. Bit of a tangent but I'm sure y'all get my drift.

I'm jealous. I'm working hard to have that kind of life. The city isn't bad but I'd rather get away from it all. I lived in a small city for years and it was the nicest my life has ever been. It wasn't a country type of city at all. It was still very urban and was the capital of the state but it was much more quiet than the big cities in TX.
Living in big cities, there is no nature besides the public parks that aren't well taken care of and are incredibly polluted and always busy. At least here. In my old place, I had this quiet, hidden trail in the back. No one ever went there. Even the people that lived in the neighborhood besides the trail were usually away.

I've always lived in my state's capital, and it is really like a LARGE small/country town here. An oxymoron, but it sums it up completely. The people here are so blah, ya know? I feel most comfortable in places surrounded by wild plant and animal life, so I guess forests? I went with some friends to an apple grove in the mountains earlier today and felt peace because the setting was completely natural. That trail reminds me of this in the back of my apartment complex we lived in when I was a child...All the kids call it "the jungle" because you had to climb through vines and tangled branches from start to finish. We'd have all these wonderful adventures and just plain fun. I miss that place.

I can't really say what they are. Everyone minded their own. I like the French/English countryside. Surrounded by gardens and far off wildlife is beautiful to me as well. It's so peaceful, quiet. Cliché as it is, you can really think. It's easy to get caught up in the busyness of the city.
That sounds so beautiful Sounds like fun too. Mine was just a basic ass trail that expanded into a lake.

They're really boring and simple-minded. I think I need to add it to my bucket list to buy a house somewhere in a quiet area. Not a gated community though - I hate those and the Homeowners' Associations that come with it.
At least you had a lake!!! Was that beautiful?
