The album’s No. 1 position on the charts means Solange and sister Beyonce have become the first sisters to both have a No. 1 album in the same year, according to USA Today. Only two other sets of siblings have achieved this feat: Janet and Michael Jackson, and rappers Master P and Silkk the Shocker.
Solange’s new album was expected to come in second to Bon Iver's highly anticipated “22, A Million,” which took the No. 2 spot for the week.
Solange's album sold 72,000 album units, which includes streaming and actual album sales.
