What I mean by that is do you "talk" to more than one person before making it official? How do you feel about dating someone who is talking to/dating other men/women while talking to/dating you?

I think its important to keep your options open. More than likely, that person is talking to other people as well. Now, I think if things are getting serious and you're moving towards a monogamous relationship with this person, it's time to cut the other people off. Me, personally, I don't mind if he's talking to other people because I am too. I can't be hypocritical on that. All I ask is that if we become exclusive, you cut them off.

Me, personally, I don't mind if he's talking to other people because I am too. I can't be hypocritical on that. All I ask is that if we become exclusive, you cut them off. I'm into getting to know one person at a time. I've never attempted to talk to 2 or more at the same time. If I knew a guy was talking to me and a couple other women I would just stop answering calls and texts. To me it feels like a competition, and that is essentially what it is. I don't want to feel like I'm on one of those reality shows. You know? Plus it could get awkward if one of you confuses the other with another person you're talking to "oh...I thought you said you really liked ___" How would you handle seeing the person you're talking to out on what appears to be a date? Would you approach them? What if they see you and approach you? I wanted to see how common my line of thinking is. It seems a lot of men and women are cool with talking to other ppl. |

I can see where you're coming from. I'm not saying like four or five people besides the one I'm talking to. At least, I don't do that. Eh, I don't really see it as a competition, to be completely honest. If I see the other person, I'd say hi if that person was to approach me. If it's a first date then that's all it is. If this is a third or fourth date, I would've cut that person off already so I'd just keep it cordial. If they approach me, I say hi and politely remind them I have company. |
