When you see another black person on the street, in the store, etc do you speak? Smile? Do the head nod? Do you acknowledge them in someway?

I smile but it comes off looking like a forced smile smh. I've got RBF sadly. I don't usually speak unless they speak to me unless it's to praise their appearance. My mom is good with that. She can start a conversation with anyone and she's just so friendly.

I always try to say hello, smile or acknowledge them in someway. I was always taught to speak to people.

The most I usually do is smile and make eye contact.
I sometimes still fall into the habit of being shy and not greeting first.
But I always respond to those who take the time to be cordial towards me.
