He's been recognized as one of the most successful composers and performers of all time.
However, that apparently wasn't enough for Paul McCartney to gain access to Argyle nightclub in Hollywood on Monday evening after the Grammy Awards.
As reported by TMZ, The Beatles star, 73, was turned away from Tyga's after-party twice before giving in and heading over to the Republic Records party at Hyde.
Paul was joined by Beck and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins as he got turned away, after which he could be heard joking while sharing his surprise.
'How VIP do we gotta get? We need another hit, guys. We need another hit,' the music icon said, jokingly adding: 'Work on it!'
With over 20 Grammys under his belt - as part of legendary rock band The Beatles and as a solo artist - the surprise didn't seem unwarranted.
Beck - whose Morning Phase took home Album Of The Year at last year's ceremony - then promised 'Next year!' as everyone around Paul expressed their utter shock at the bouncers denying him access to the party.

When later asked about the shocking oversight, host Tyga did note that Paul was 'a legend,' but otherwise didn't seem that upset about him being barred from the party.
Bow Wow, however, seemed genuinely shocked by the slight, questioning: 'Wait. The Paul McCartney came to Argyle... and they wouldn't let him in? You've got to be lying.'
He did later reason that perhaps the bouncers didn't let him in as Bow Wow, 28, and Tyga, 26, are younger, a 'new generation,' and frequent that club.
He recently announced that he would be performing live this summer as he headlines Pinkpop festival in Netherlands and Rock Werchter in Belgium in June.
