I think ANTI deserves at 7/10. It was pretty good and had some bops. My favorites were "Work", "Desperado", "Woo" (!!!), "Needed Me" and "Same Ol' Mistakes". I'm going to listen to the album a second time to make sure I didn't miss anything. TIDAL was surprisingly fast with the free download. I expected the server to be really slow.

I like it. I don't have the delux though. Idk how to work tidal, and I'm not going to pay for it when my trial is up. I like consideration, work, desperado, and some others I can't think of at the moment.

I like the first 5 tracks the most. Especially the shorter one.
I see why the other singles didn't make the cut. She wanted a classic or mature album...this is def a mature album. I wish there was more uptempo tracks besides work. Otherwise it's a solid album, I like this new direction.

I love the kiss song, same ol mistakes, need me, and close to you. I also LOVE consideration too. It's a really good album. I think it was worth the wait.

Remember he fell hard for her but she played him (he said that). I think kiss it better could be about Chris "man fuck your pride" "who cares when it feels like crack" Woo (helped write this song) is also about him "I'll bet she could never make you cry cause the scars on your heart are still mine." "She's eating off your dreams" She helped write James joint, kiss it better, needed me, and desperado. Same ol mistakes and kiss it better she didn't contribute to, however sometimes when writers are working with artists they talk so the songs can be more personal...so I still think these 2 could be about him. My mind was set :arrogant: I honestly don't like Woo. But everyone's been raving about it so maybe I'll take another listen. The album (to me) is too personal for Rih to not have at least talked to the writers and shared a bit of herself. Especially with Same Ol Mistakes....it's obvious (again, to me) that it's speaking on Rih getting back together with Chris. |

I'll come back to comment in more detail, but "FourFiveSeconds", "BBHMM", and "American Oxygen" would have never fit on this album at all. I'm glad she nixed them/left the tracks as singles and moved forward. I wonder if she's a free agent now because someone on LSA said she was having problems with the studio because of it.

Well damn! This whole album is about Chris then! I loved how honest she was about him...their relationship..how she felt. Yeah, I had a feeling Needed Me was about Drake...I mean who else? She wasn't seen publicly with anyone else and we all know how that "relationship" ended up. The minute I heard that "police know your history" line in James Joint I just KNEW it had to be about Chris. I didn't pay attention to anything else after that. Me too. I've sort of blurred the timeline so I can't remember. I think someone knew what happened and spilled at one point or maybe it was public. I'm typing stream of consciousness lol...didn't Rih breakup with him because her team didn't think it was a good look so he went back to Kae? I would b surprised if she and Chris ever went public again, because I think his ego/pride took a big hit when she started dating Drake and he told Chris "I'm fuckin the love of your life." |
