There is no reason to lie about the Earth being flat/not being the center of the solar system/universe at all. Ancient civilizations such as Egypt depict the sun as the center + I think Earth as circular like everything else. They even came up with the whole "circles = 360 degrees" thing thousands of years ago. I'm just gonna write this off as a bad acid trip and let him and his flop career live.
