I'm currently undecided on if I have viewed his Presidency as a positive or negative. He has given us good things such as the Affordable Care Act which can be improved upon in the future, but he has done virtually nothing to stop the hatred of Muslims, or spoken out on the police brutality and racism in America. I guess my position is neutral? What about you, blackonblack? What are your views?

Universal healthcare covered by taxes based on income/tax bracket would have been better. I agree with everything you said. I feel he hasn't done enough. I kept thinking well he might take a stand when he is re-elected. Then he was re-elected and he didn't take a strong stand. I hope he does some sort of Hail Mary before he leaves but I doubt it. He hasn't done enough for black people, but everything for most other groups. I'm disappointed. I get that he is disconnected from us since he didn't grow up in a black household, but he has a black wife. I wonder about Michelle...what her opinions are. He influence. They are a nice looking couple though. They seem cool. I'll be sad to see them leave.

I thought he would come back three times harder with the second term, but that was not so. Honestly I was surprised he even made it to his second term. I remember watching MSNBC and thinking we were gonna get Romney in the House, and boy was I happy when that didn't turn out to be the case!
A lot of people think he won't start speaking out until he's out of office, but I doubt it. Isn't being President supposed to afford you more leg room than your regular politician? If he wanted to do something - or at the very least say something substantial - he would have done it already I think. Plus he'll look like a true hypocrite if he comes out and says Black Lives Matter after that Blue Alert/cops need respect shit he spews. Law enforcement and Black people would rip into him about it. I think Brock will kind of just fade away like the other Presidents.
I want to know more about Michelle too. If you're married to a (seemingly) intelligent (Black) woman, then I want to know if you both share the same views or if she's ripping into your ass about this double talk going on..The whole family is very pleasing to the eye, and I like that Brock stepped his game up in the clothing department. Brother man was walking around D.C. in fucking sandals

Very good looking couple. I'm very interested in her political views. I just feel he is really disconnected from black people. I agree with you, if he was going to make a substantial change he would have...but I'm still lowkey holding out hope. When he leaves office I doubt he'll speak on anything, and what purpose would it serve if he did anyway? Like you said he'd be a hypocrit AND at that point he'd have no power to make a change. Now is the time.

I think it's really hard to separate a person from his/her politics. I like the president in the sense that I think he'd be a cool mentor/person to know. (Ppl used to say they could have a beer with Bush but they hate his politics). I would pass on that... But that's kinda what I mean. I don't actually know how liberal his personal politics/opinions are. But I do have a lot of respect for him and think he's a very intelligent guy. I think he shouldn't have caved on the single-payer option for the ACA. And I think it will improve in time. I also wonder what his presidency would be like if he came after Clinton instead of after Bush when everything was a hot mess?
I would have loved to have seen him do more about the prison punishment system; the disappearance of the middle class; job/workplace opportunities (that aren't bs) for ppl - especially those who didn't go to college. Clearly, police brutality. Although, if I'm being honest I don't know what he could do that is actionable and legal.
I've worked in politics before in DC and I think ppl would have a different view sometimes if they knew folks personally. They constantly are playing games that have very little to do with their personal opinions.
I think when he leaves office he'll write another book and do some speaking. If he talks about stuff, he will say that things won't change until we stop with the politics as usual and decide to do something different.
I kinda wish ppl would stop electing these idiots to Congress b/c they have kept this stalemate going. And of course, not voting at all does not help either.
