British actor Alan Rickman dead at 69  LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- British actor Alan Rickman has died. Many audiences remember him best for his role as Severus Snape in the Harry Potter Movies. He also played the terrorist Hans Gruber in the Die Hard movies. Rickman was a Shakespearean actor that found fame in Hollywood with a series of villainous roles including the notorious Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood. Rickman died of cancer. He was 69. |
