This is hella late but since we have a lemonade thread, I thought why the hell not and created a thread for Anti. What was your overall thoughts on the album? Favorite songs?
I fucking LOVED Same 'Ol Mistakes. I was going through some things in my love life at the time and that song described the nature of the relationship perfectly. What I loved about the album was how relatable it was. I could relate to SOM, Kiss it Better, Close to You, Never Ending, and Love on the Brain. The lyrics were real. I hate comparing Rih to Bey but I think they were kind of similar in terms of speaking on failing/failed relationships. I just think Anti did a better job.

I downloaded the album for free on Tidal when she was offering it. I gave it a 7 or 8/10 at the time, but have not listened to any of the songs since. She did a great job. Her previous albums had a lot of hit/misses and fillers but this was pretty good.

I downloaded the album for free on Tidal when she was offering it. I gave it a 7 or 8/10 at the time, but have not listened to any of the songs since. She did a great job. Her previous albums had a lot of hit/misses and fillers but this was pretty good. Yeah I didn't like her previous albums as much. My only thing was that I felt like it could've been more cohesive. |

I don't how to explain it, seemed like two different halves put together. Like some songs flowed from one to the next and others seemed scrapped together and vastly different in theme/tone from the others. |

That's why it was always late lmao! Wasn't she supposed to release a year earlier?  I'll never forget my time as a Nhevi stan. We were all so confused - she kept dropping easter eggs, and then nothing would happen. |

Fans thought there was going to be a part two because she kept wearing green. Nothing came of that. I like the album still. You're right though, some songs don't really flow together. I still feel like she could do a few more videos, if she has maybe I missed it.

I'd like to see a video for desperado. That seems to be a fan fav from the jump. I don't understand why artists do that. They know the bulk of their fans love a particular song on their album, but they don't make it a single or a video. Example poppin' by Chris brown should have had a damn video! |

All singers seem to do that. When I was a fan of Lana Del Rey I always got a bit pissed that she passed over complete BOPS that should have been singles and turned into music videos. I don't get it either.

I loved "Needed Me"! Rih always has a few bops per album I go back and listen to for years. Example, "We Found Love".
Would've loved to see more visually- like a flowing concept or just something deeper in the videos, but it was a solid project
